Concord's Development Approach

Game director Ryan Ellis emphasized the ongoing commitment to Concord's development, stating that launch is merely the beginning of a journey shaped by player feedback. The team plans to regularly introduce new characters, maps, game modes, storylines, and features. The absence of a battle pass is a deliberate choice, prioritizing a rewarding core experience where simply playing the game unlocks meaningful rewards.

Optimizing Your Concord Gameplay

Ellis also shared strategic gameplay advice, highlighting the "Crew Builder" system. Players create teams of five unique Freegunners, allowing up to three copies of any variant. This system encourages diverse team compositions, as combining Freegunners from different roles (Anchor, Breacher, Haunt, Ranger, Tactician, and Warden) unlocks special Crew Bonuses, offering advantages like increased mobility and reduced cooldowns. Unlike traditional hero shooter roles, Concord's Freegunners are designed for high DPS and effective gunfights, with their roles defined by their impact on the match's flow and objectives.
