Assassin's Creed Shadows : Parkour remanié et deux protagonistes

Assassin's Creed Shadows, l'aventure très attendue d'Ubisoft au Japon féodal, sort le 14 février. Ce dernier opus introduit des changements importants, notamment un système de parkour remanié et deux protagonistes aux styles de jeu distincts.

Le jeu met en vedette Naoe, un shinobi furtif adepte de l'escalade des murs et des manœuvres dans les ombres, et Yasuke, un puissant samouraï excellant dans le combat ouvert mais manquant de capacités d'escalade. Cette approche à double protagoniste vise à satisfaire à la fois les puristes de la furtivité et les fans des combats plus récents axés sur les jeux de rôle de la série.

Ubisoft a détaillé des révisions substantielles du système de parkour. Fini l’escalade libre des titres précédents ; les joueurs naviguent désormais sur des « autoroutes de parkour ». Même si cela peut paraître restrictif, Ubisoft assure aux joueurs que la plupart des surfaces restent escaladables, nécessitant des approches stratégiques. Les démontages sans couture des rebords, permettant des retournements et des esquives élégants, améliorent la fluidité du mouvement. Une nouvelle position couchée ajoute des plongeons sprint et des toboggans au répertoire.

Le directeur associé du jeu, Simon Lemay-Comtois, explique : "...nous avons dû réfléchir davantage à la création d'autoroutes de parkour intéressantes, en contrôlant les mouvements de Naoe et les limitations de Yasuke... La plupart des zones restent escaladables, notamment avec le grappin, mais les joueurs devra identifier des points de départ valables. "

Lancement sur Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 et PC, Assassin's Creed Shadows fait face à une rude concurrence de titres comme Monster Hunter Wilds, Like a Dragon : Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii et Avowed, tous en lice pour attirer l'attention en février.
