Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: No Harm to Dogs MachineGames, the studio behind Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, has confirmed a heartwarming policy: no dogs will be harmed in the game. Let's delve into this decision and other game details.

No Canine Casualties in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Indy's a Dog Lover, Says MachineGames' Creative Director

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Respect for CaninesWhile video games often feature violence against animals (think Nazi dogs in Wolfenstein or rabid wolves in Resident Evil 4), Indiana Jones and the Great Circle takes a different, more compassionate approach.

"Indiana Jones is a dog person," declared MachineGames Creative Director Jens Andersson in an IGN interview. Although Indy's adventures are often intense, the developers have ensured that while he can battle human foes, his interactions with dogs remain non-lethal. This marks a significant shift from their previous work, such as Wolfenstein, where harming animals was commonplace.

Andersson explained, "It's a family-friendly IP in many ways. We have dogs as encounters, but you don't hurt them. You scare them off."

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: A Global AdventureLaunching December 9th on Xbox Series X|S and PC (PS5 release slated for Spring 2025), Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set in 1937, between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. Indy's quest begins with recovering stolen artifacts from Marshall College, taking him from the Vatican to Egyptian pyramids and even submerged temples in Sukhothai.

Indy's trusty whip serves as both a traversal tool and a weapon against human enemies as he navigates open-world-inspired environments. And for those concerned about animal welfare, rest assured: no canine companions will feel the sting of Indy's whip in this adventure.
