MGS Delta: Snake Eater Keeps Original"s Suggestive Themes

Author:Kristen Update:Nov 22,2025

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater retains the suggestive elements from Metal Gear Solid 3, including the infamous Peep Demo Theatre, as revealed by recent age rating details.

While Konami hasn't officially confirmed the inclusion of these controversial features, the ESRB has assigned the remake an Mature 17+ rating. The classification notes intense combat sequences with realistic gunfire, cries of pain, bloody violence, and "suggestive/sexual content."

The ESRB's description highlights disturbing cutscenes featuring graphic violence: "A restrained character being beaten and electrocuted; a character shot in the eye; a burning character repeatedly shot."

Regarding mature content, the report specifies: "Scenes include a man groping a woman's breasts, revealing clothing with strategic camera angles, brief crotch-grabbing, and the Peep Demo Theatre mode allowing players to view the female protagonist's body from first-person angles during certain sequences."

The Peep Demo Theatre, originally an unlockable Easter egg in Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence and the HD Collection, required players to complete the game four times to access voyeuristic camera controls during EVA's underwear scene.

Konami recently announced Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater's August 28 release date alongside a teaser confirming the return of the beloved Snake vs. Monkey minigame.

According to our Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater preview, the remake appears more as a polished remaster than a complete reimagining. The IGN review praises its visual glow-up while noting it stays almost too faithful to the original - which earned a stellar 9.6/10 score - particularly highlighting the new first-person perspective additions.
