Helldivers 2 Unveils Major Update for Enhanced Gaming Experience

Arrowhead Game Studios has released Helldivers 2 patch 01.000.403, primarily addressing a critical crash bug linked to the FAF-14 Spear weapon. This update also includes a wide range of bug fixes designed to improve overall gameplay stability and polish.

Helldivers 2, a 2024 cooperative third-person shooter, has been lauded for its intense, chaotic action. Arrowhead's commitment to regular updates continues, with each patch introducing gameplay refinements, new content, and technical improvements. A previous update resolved a Spear aiming issue, but inadvertently introduced a new crash. Patch 01.000.403 rectifies this, along with another crash triggered by unique hellpod launch sequences. Significantly, this patch introduces global availability of Japanese voiceovers for both PS5 and PC platforms.

Further improvements include resolving text corruption in Traditional Chinese, ensuring accurate character display. The Plasma Punisher now functions correctly with the SH-32 and FX-12 Shield Generator Packs, and the Quasar cannon's heat management accurately reflects planetary conditions. Visual glitches, such as the purple Spore Spewer and pink question marks in missions, have been eliminated. Additionally, a problem causing available Operations to reset after reconnection has been fixed.

While many issues have been addressed, some remain under active development. These include unresolved friend request functionality via in-game friend codes, delays in reward payouts, invisible (but active) mines, inconsistent Arc weapon behavior, and weapons firing below the crosshair when aiming down sights. The Career tab's mission count reset after each game restart is also an ongoing issue, as are outdated weapon descriptions.

Patch 01.000.403 is now live, implementing these substantial improvements. Arrowhead continues to actively engage player feedback and work towards resolving known issues to optimize the Helldivers 2 experience.
