Nvidia Unveils RTX 50 Series GPUs with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation at CES 2025

Nvidia's CES 2025 keynote showcased the highly anticipated RTX 50 series GPUs, featuring groundbreaking DLSS 4 technology with Multi-Frame Generation. This new feature promises significant FPS boosts, with 75 games confirmed for initial support. Titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Marvel Rivals are among those leveraging this performance enhancement.

The RTX 50 series, codenamed Blackwell, builds upon the Ada Lovelace architecture with substantial improvements to DLSS. Multi-Frame Generation, a key addition, delivers faster FPS increases compared to its predecessor. The flagship model, the RTX 5090, boasts 32GB of GDDR7 memory and a starting price of $1,999. Other models include the RTX 5080 ($999), RTX 5070 Ti ($749), and RTX 5070 ($549).

Nvidia demonstrated the impact of DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation using Cyberpunk 2077. With ray tracing enabled and DLSS/Multi-Frame Generation disabled, the game struggled to maintain 30 FPS on the RTX 5090. Activating these features resulted in a dramatic increase to 236 FPS.
