Freedom Wars Remastered: Weapon Guide

In *Freedom Wars Remastered*, you're equipped to tackle operations with a pair of weapons chosen from six distinct types. This allows for diverse character builds and playstyles, offering a wealth of strategic options. Each weapon type brings unique strengths to the battlefield.

Several weapons boast special charged-up attacks, adding another layer of tactical depth. The arsenal is divided into three melee and three ranged weapon types, each highly customizable. Let's explore the unique traits of each:

Every Weapon Type in *Freedom Wars Remastered*

Six weapon types await, obtainable through operation completion or Zakka's shop in The Warren. While your Comrades' weapons are predetermined, your Accessory's weapon is entirely customizable. You can switch weapons freely at any time; there are no penalties for frequent changes.

Weapon Type Traits
Light Melee Quick attacks ideal for rapid combat against single targets. Can sever Abductor limbs without a Flare Knife.
Heavy Melee Wide-sweeping attacks inflict significant damage. Well-placed attacks can hit multiple Abductor limbs for multiplied damage. Charged attacks launch you into the air. Slightly reduces movement speed.
Polearm Attacks often involve charging through enemies, providing mobility and evasion. Charged attacks launch the polearm for high damage from a safe distance.
Assault Weapons High ammo capacity, making them excellent primary weapons for gun-focused builds. Can be fired while grappled with your Thorne, enabling strategic positioning and ranged attacks.
Portable Artillery High single-shot damage with low ammo capacity. Explosive area-of-effect shots can hit multiple limbs for increased damage. Reduces movement speed.
Autocannons High rate of fire, large ammo capacity and magazine size. Individual shots have lower damage, but the high rate of fire compensates. Reduces movement speed.

Note: Your Accessory doesn't consume ammo when using ranged weapons.
