Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change

Treyarch has addressed player concerns regarding recent changes to Black Ops 6's Zombies mode. A significant reversal in the January 9th update saw the removal of extended round times and zombie spawn delays in Directed Mode, a change implemented on January 3rd that proved unpopular with the community. This decision followed direct player feedback indicating the alterations negatively impacted gameplay, particularly kill farming and camo challenges.

The update also includes several improvements:

  • Citadelle des Morts Bug Fixes: Multiple bug fixes were implemented to address glitches and crashes on the Citadelle des Morts map, including issues with quest progression and visual effects. Fixes were implemented for issues with the Void Sheath Augment for Aether Shroud.

  • Shadow Rift Ammo Mod Buffs: The Shadow Rift Ammo Mod received substantial buffs, increasing activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with Big Game Augment). The cooldown timer was also significantly reduced.

Further updates are planned for January 28th with the launch of Black Ops 6 Season 2. This will include additional bug fixes and potential balance adjustments. Players are encouraged to complete the Citadelle des Morts main quest before the end of Season 1 Reloaded.
