WoW Housing: new details shared by Blizzard

World of Warcraft's highly anticipated housing system is slated for a 2025 release, with Blizzard offering initial details. The developers assure players that homes will be accessible to everyone, regardless of subscription status, and will not involve complicated prerequisites, exorbitant costs, or lotteries. This feature is set to debut with the Midnight expansion.

Initially, players can select a plot in one of two designated zones: Alliance players in a region combining elements of Elwynn Forest, Westfall, and Duskwood; and Horde players in an area blending Durotar, Azshara, and the Durotar coastline.

Each zone will be subdivided into districts, each accommodating approximately 50 homes. Players can choose between open areas or establish private communities with friends and guild members. Extensive customization options are promised, with most items obtainable in-game, and some available via the in-game shop.

Blizzard emphasizes the system's core tenets: extensive personalization, social interaction, and enduring appeal. Further details are promised in the future, and player feedback is currently being solicited.
