Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s First Public Test Server Goes Live, Update 7.0 Patch Notes Reveal Huge Changes

The public test server for *Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2* is live, offering an early glimpse at Update 7.0. Publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Saber Interactive have released preliminary patch notes, noting that the final version may differ due to ongoing bug fixes. The PTS (PC only) includes a wealth of new content.

Update 7.0 introduces a new PvE mission, "Exfiltration," and a fresh secondary weapon: the Inferno Pistol, available to Vanguard, Sniper, and Heavy classes. Endgame PvE prestige ranks and private PvP lobbies are also added. Customization options expand with new colors (Volupus Pink and Thousand Sons Blue), Bulwark cloth and hand recoloring, and a 50% increase in PvP customization rewards. New skins include an Imperial Fists Champion skin for the Tactical class and a Space Wolves Champion skin for the Vanguard class.

Significant balance changes are implemented, most notably an expanded weapon arsenal in PvE. All classes now have a wider weapon selection; notably, the Assault class gains access to the Power Sword without mods. Detailed weapon adjustments are available in the patch notes below.

A welcome fix addresses a persistent griefing issue in the Inferno Operation. Players reaching the assembly area in the final stage will now automatically teleport lagging players after a short delay.
