As you navigate through derelict locations to retrieve valuables, you'll encounter terrifying monsters determined to halt your progress to the next level. Each monster in *R.E.P.O.* boasts unique abilities, behaviors, and attack patterns, demanding that you adapt your strategies to ensure you and your team return to the truck unscathed. Some creatures stalk silently before ambushing you, while others are audibly noisy, making stealth a necessity. Yet, being quiet isn't always enough; some monsters are drawn to sound, while others rely on sight, so keeping them in view can be crucial for survival.

With a diverse array of monsters, it's challenging to distinguish between those that are merely a nuisance and those that pose a real threat. However, understanding their behaviors and, most importantly, their damage potential, is key to success in *R.E.P.O.*. Tier 1 – Mostly a nuisance, can be helpful.
Tier 2 – Manageable unless you're overwhelmed.
Tier 3 – Lethal if you're caught off guard.
Tier 4 – The most dangerous monsters, capable of one-shotting players at lower levels.

Apex Predator (Duck)1Avoid contact, but it can serve as a defense against the Huntsman if timed correctly.
Gnomes1Inflict minimal damage and are easily dispatched.
Animal1They deal minor damage and can be picked up easily. They also destroy any Gnomes in their path.
Hidden1Can transport you back to the truck or into another monster but doesn't cause direct damage.
Shadow Child1Harmless if you avoid eye contact.
Spewer1Once attached, it can be used against other monsters without harming you.
Bowtie2Generally slow, but can speed up when annoyed. Its breath is harmful but easily avoidable.
Peeper2Causes minimal damage when it locks eyes with you, but can be dangerous if other monsters are nearby.
Chef2Can accidentally kill each other by rolling into one another. Climbing to higher ground keeps you safe.
Bangers2You have 10 seconds to escape once their dynamite ignites; only a threat if you're caught in the blast.
Huntsman3Hunts by sound; stay silent or use the duck strategically to remain undetected. A gunshot can end your game.
Rugrat3Extremely strong, capable of killing with thrown objects. A vase can be lethal to low-level players.
Upscream3Similar to Animal but deals significantly more damage. Multiple Upscreams can be deadly.
Mentalist3Poor eyesight but acute hearing; evade by running and hiding. Each hit inflicts 50 damage, and multiple can spawn.
Trudge3Extremely slow and loud, allowing you to hear its approach, but being caught is fatal, even with health upgrades.
Reaper4Slow until it spots you, then it accelerates. Audible from a distance, escape is possible, but without upgrades, you're dead quickly.
Clown4Charges on sight with deadly kicks and lasers; both attacks can be fatal.
Robe4Silent and often sees you first. Can maneuver under furniture and pursue rapidly. Deadly if caught.
Headman4Relentlessly pursues you, with each bite inflicting 50 damage. Can be fatal in multiple encounters.
