Rainbow Six Siege X: what was presented in Atlanta

Now in its tenth year, Rainbow Six Siege is embarking on a new era. During today's presentation, Ubisoft unveiled Siege X, marking a significant evolution akin to what CS2 represented for CS:GO. Set to launch on June 10, Siege X will transition to a free-to-play model, opening the game to a broader audience.

Key Changes in Siege X:

New Mode: Dual Front – This exciting 6v6 match format blends attack and defense operators into a dynamic gameplay experience. Teams aim to capture enemy zones and plant sabotage devices across a map divided into multiple areas—three per team and one expansive neutral zone. Players respawn 30 seconds after death, ensuring continuous action.

Advanced Rappel System – A groundbreaking feature allowing players to use ropes not only vertically but also horizontally, adding new tactical dimensions to the game.

Increased Environmental Destruction – The trailer highlighted new destructible elements, such as fire extinguishers and gas pipes, which players can strategically blow up to gain an advantage.

Reworks for Five Popular Maps – These maps are set to receive major updates, enhancing the gameplay experience and keeping the environment fresh.

Graphical & Audio Enhancements – Ubisoft is implementing a comprehensive visual and sound upgrade, promising a more immersive experience for players.

Improved Anti-Cheat & Toxicity Measures – The developers are committed to refining the anti-cheat system and addressing toxic behavior within the community, ensuring a fairer and more enjoyable gaming environment.

Ubisoft has also announced a closed beta, which will be accessible to players who watch Siege streams over the next seven days. This offers an early opportunity to experience the new features and provide feedback before the official launch.
