PlayStation Plus January Games Revealed

PlayStation Plus January 2025 Lineup: Suicide Squad, Need for Speed, and The Stanley Parable

PlayStation Plus subscribers can claim three free games this January: Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. These titles are available until February 3rd.

This month's selection includes the controversial Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, a 2024 release from Rocksteady Studios. While its reception was mixed, PlayStation Plus members can now experience it at no extra cost. The other two offerings provide a diverse range of gameplay experiences.

Sony's monthly PlayStation Plus games are available to all subscription tiers (Essential, Extra, and Premium). Remember December's offerings – It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem – were available until January 6th. The January lineup was announced on New Year's Day and became available on January 7th.

Game Details and File Sizes:

  • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League (PS5): 79.43 GB – The largest download, and the newest title in the lineup.
  • Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered (PS4): 31.55 GB – A PS4 title playable via backwards compatibility on PS5, but without PS5 enhancements.
  • The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe (PS4/PS5): 5.10 GB (PS4), 5.77 GB (PS5) – An updated version of the original game with added content and accessibility features.

Storage Space Considerations:

To download all three games on a PS5, you'll need approximately 117 GB of free storage space.

Looking Ahead:

Sony is expected to announce the February 2025 PlayStation Plus lineup towards the end of January. The service will continue to add new Extra and Premium titles throughout the year.
