Rakes Turtle is a completely free and top-tier card game from Vietnam.
Bai Cao - Cao Rua, also known as Cao Cao or Three Cards in Northern Vietnam, is a beloved and popular card game enjoyed during Vietnamese holidays.
It is highly entertaining and a classic way to pass the time. Each player places a fixed bet at the start. After the cards are dealt, the player with the highest score wins the entire pot. If multiple players tie for the highest score, additional rounds are dealt to determine the final winner.
HOW TO PLAY:
The game uses a standard 52-card deck. Cards are dealt evenly to each player, with everyone receiving three cards. Players calculate points based on their hand to determine who has the highest score.
HOW TO CALCULATE SCORES:
- Number cards (A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) are worth their face value.
- Face cards (J, Q, K) are each worth ten points.
- A player's final score is the last digit of the total sum of their cards. For example, a total of 26 results in a score of 6. A total of 20 points is a score of 0, also called Compensation.
- Note: Card suits (Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, Spades) do not affect the score.
Special Cases:
- If a player is dealt three face cards (J, Q, K), this is called Three Fairies (3 Tien).
- If a player is dealt three cards of the same rank (e.g., 3-3-3), this is called Three of a Kind.
- Score Comparison: 0 points is the lowest, followed by other point values, then Three of a Kind, with Three Fairies being the highest.
