Author:Kristen Update:Sep 15,2025

Build A Rocket Boy, the studio behind MindsEye, has unveiled a new trailer, confirmed a $59.99 price point, and detailed the game’s launch content.

Led by former Rockstar North veteran Leslie Benzies, Build A Rocket Boy announced that MindsEye will launch on June 10, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

Here’s the official description:

In the near-futuristic city of Redrock, MindsEye offers a gripping linear story campaign. Players embody Jacob Diaz, a former soldier grappling with fragmented memories from his enigmatic MindsEye neural implant, as he unravels a conspiracy involving rogue AI, corporate corruption, an unchecked military, and a dire threat to humanity’s survival. The narrative is powered by cutting-edge visuals crafted with Unreal Engine 5.

Notably, MindsEye includes a PC-exclusive game creation system, enabling players to craft unique experiences using the game’s assets.

The $59.99 price, according to the studio, offers a budget-friendly alternative to the typical $70-$80 AAA titles. So, what’s included for $60?

At launch, players will enjoy a polished linear story campaign, a “single-player free roam” mode, and various missions, including a horde mode called “Destruction Site Shootout” and two combat missions (“Honor Amongst Thieves” and “Friendly Fire”). The game also features six races, six checkpoint races, and three drone races. The premium pass unlocks an additional horde mode mission and an exclusive cosmetics pack.

Video game pricing remains a heated industry topic, especially after Nintendo’s $80 price for Mario Kart World and Microsoft’s planned $80 titles this holiday season. Other studios, like Gearbox with Borderlands 4, are also navigating pricing controversies. Meanwhile, mid-tier games like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and 2K’s upcoming Mafia: The Old Country have thrived at $50, positioning MindsEye as a compelling middle-ground option.

Looking beyond launch, Build A Rocket Boy promises a “steady flow” of premium content each month, ensuring MindsEye remains a dynamic, evolving experience. This includes new missions, challenges, and assets. “With ongoing studio-developed content and the finest community-created additions, MindsEye will captivate players for years,” the studio stated.

The 2025 content roadmap includes community updates and new missions in the summer, new single-player and multiplayer modes plus missions in the fall, and free roam updates with additional missions in the winter. Premium pass holders will receive extra missions and exclusive packs throughout the year.
