Legend of Zelda: TOTK Player Creates Real-World Cruiser

A Breathtaking Cruiser Built in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

A remarkably creative Tears of the Kingdom player has engineered a fully functional cruiser using Zonai devices. From basic rafts to remote-controlled aircraft, players have consistently pushed the boundaries of the game's building mechanics, crafting everything from land vehicles to airborne marvels using planks, Zonai parts, and shrine-acquired items. The ambition extends to creating functional war machines.

Early vehicle construction is highly recommended in Tears of the Kingdom, as traversing Hyrule on horseback proves time-consuming. Air and ground vehicles significantly expedite exploration, especially considering the expansive map, which includes the Depths and Sky Islands – making thorough exploration practically impossible without a custom-built ride.

Reddit user ryt1314059 showcased their impressive creation: a highly maneuverable and swift cruiser. This warship boasts two automatically-targeting Zonai cannons, enabling efficient combat. Despite its size, it handles exceptionally well in water, executing rapid directional changes. Construction relies on planks, cannons, fans, homing carts, a battery, and railings, all readily available near the Construct Factory.

Railings connecting cannons and planks enhance maneuverability and torque, simplifying coastal exploration. Zonai fans, positioned between planks, act as propellers, harnessing wind power for thrust. These materials, excluding railings, are easily acquired from device dispensers.

The game provides a diverse array of Zonai devices – fans, hover stones, steering sticks, and more – that add functionality to player-built contraptions. Each device offers unique capabilities, allowing for incredibly varied vehicle designs. These devices also prove useful in solving environmental puzzles scattered throughout the game. The most efficient way to obtain them is by using Zonai charges on gachapon machines found frequently in the Sky Islands.

Beyond Zonai devices and shrine rewards, powerful abilities like Ultrahand, Recall, and Fuse allow for intricate item combinations. Unlocked through shrine completion, these abilities are crucial for constructing complex structures and attaching items to weapons and shields.
