Tango Gameworks Hiring for New Action Title

Author:Kristen Update:Oct 23,2025

Hi-Fi Rush developer Tango Gameworks has launched a redesigned website and confirmed it is developing an "unannounced action game."

The updated site features fresh branding and a careers section recruiting for roles tied to an unannounced project. It states Tango Gameworks' core mission is to "create new games and expand intellectual properties," operating as an "independent development studio based in Tokyo, Japan" under the Krafton umbrella.

In May 2024, Microsoft closed several Bethesda studios, including Tango Gameworks and Arkane Austin, the developer of Redfall. This announcement was met with widespread shock and frustration from developers and fans, especially after Xbox executive Aaron Greenberg had earlier called Hi-Fi Rush a "breakout hit for [Xbox] and [its] players across all key metrics and expectations."

PUBG publisher Krafton acquired Tango Gameworks and the Hi-Fi Rush IP from Microsoft in August 2024, rescuing the studio from closure. Krafton detailed the move in a press release, confirming that "as part of this strategic partnership, Krafton plans to collaborate with Xbox and ZeniMax to ensure a smooth transition and steady operations at Tango Gameworks, empowering the talented team to keep developing the Hi-Fi Rush IP and explore future projects."

"After months of anticipation, Tango Gameworks is officially back with a fresh start," the studio's new website declares. "We’ve launched this site to give our fans and prospective team members a closer look at our studio. Here, you can explore our philosophy and watch featurettes from team members.

"Since joining Krafton, Tango Gameworks is embarking on a new journey, developing games that connect with players worldwide," the company added. "We remain committed to creating and growing unique and original IPs, embracing challenges to become a distinctive voice in the games industry."

Tango also stated that its vision is "centered on building a studio that operates like a creative workshop, crafting games and experiences with a 'handmade' touch—reflecting the personal care we pour into every project."

So, what is this new game about? It's still too early to tell. A recent blog post explains that Tango "isn’t ready to share many details yet," but "has multiple openings for early development on an unannounced action game."

"The open roles cover nearly every department—so if you're excited about working with the team behind hits like Hi-Fi Rush, read more about our studio's philosophy." According to a machine translation of the senior-level designer role, Tango is looking for someone with "experience developing 3D action games" using Unreal Engine 5. Similarly, the cutscene manager position requires 3D action game background but doesn't offer further hints at this stage. Could it be Hi-Fi Rush 2?
