Mikami and Suda Hint at a Killer7 Sequel and Remaster

Killer7: A New Chapter or a Definitive Edition?

During yesterday's Grasshopper Direct, primarily focused on the upcoming *Shadows of the Damned* remaster, the conversation turned to the future. When questioned about potential projects, Mikami revealed *Killer7* as a personal favorite, adding, "I'd love to see Suda make a sequel."

Suda51 mirrored Mikami's enthusiasm, suggesting a sequel is a possibility: "Someday, we may just see a Killer7 sequel." He even playfully tossed around title ideas like "Killer11" or "Killer7: Beyond."

Resident Evil Creator Wants Cult Classic, Killer7, to Get a Sequel By Suda51The 2005 action-adventure title, Killer7, is a cult favorite blending horror, mystery, and Suda51's signature over-the-top violence. Following Harman Smith and his seven distinct personalities, each with unique abilities, the GameCube and PlayStation 2 release gained a dedicated following, yet a sequel remained elusive. Even after the 2018 PC remaster, Suda51 expressed interest in revisiting his original vision.

"I'd rather make a Complete Edition of Killer7," Suda51 stated, an idea Mikami jokingly dismissed as "kind of lame." However, the discussion revealed that the original game's concept included extensive dialogue for the character Coyote, potentially restorable in a Complete Edition.

The mere suggestion of a sequel or complete edition ignited a wave of excitement among fans. While nothing is confirmed, the developers' enthusiasm has sparked considerable anticipation for Killer7's future.

Mikami concluded that a Complete Edition would likely please fans, prompting Suda51's response: "We'd have to decide which comes first, Killer7: Beyond or the Complete Edition."
