Chainsaw Massacre Sequel Set to Thrill in June

Sumo Digital announces a crucial update for Texas Chain Saw Massacre, slated for release on June 25th, 2024, across all platforms. This patch focuses heavily on refining character skill trees and squashing various bugs impacting gameplay and visuals.

Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Sumo Digital's asymmetrical horror game inspired by the 1974 classic, pits the terrifying Slaughter family against their unsuspecting victims in thrilling 3v4 matches. The game's chilling atmosphere and faithful recreation of the film's essence have earned it widespread praise.

The June 25th update introduces the stylish Hitchhiker’s Claymore outfit, available for $2.99 USD. Beyond this cosmetic addition, the update boasts a significant number of fixes and improvements. Matchmaking is enhanced via improvements to the lobby cooldown penalty. Several issues plaguing the skill trees of Cook, Julie, and Hands have also been addressed. Specifically, Cook's middle skill tree path now allows players to reach level 10 thanks to added attribute points, ensuring the 50/50 level 10 threshold is met.

Hands, the game's newest killer, receives substantial adjustments. An exploit leveraging his stamina via his ability tree's middle path has been eliminated, preventing excessive attacks. Furthermore, issues with his "Reduce Defensive Barge Stamina Cost" ability upgrades have been resolved, ensuring correct functionality across all tiers.

Numerous other fixes are included: incorrect skill tree node connections have been corrected, a UI bug misrepresenting removed perks in character customization has been patched, and visual glitches affecting Maria's hair textures and model have been resolved.
