Le film « Hail Mary » de Lord & Miller s’approche de sa sortie

Le thriller de science-fiction très attendu de Ryan Gosling, Project Hail Mary, ne sera pas présenté avant 2026, mais il fait déjà sensation en pulvérisant des records bien avant sa sortie en salle.

Le réalisateur Phil Lord a annoncé cette semaine que la bande-annonce du film a atteint un chiffre stupéfiant de 400 millions de vues au cours de sa première semaine en ligne, établissant un nouveau record en tant que bande-annonce la plus regardée pour un film original, n'appartenant pas à une franchise.

Lord a célébré cette étape sur les réseaux sociaux, déclarant : "Incroyable ! Un immense merci à tous les fans passionnés de cinéma, de littérature, de voyages spatiaux à une vitesse proche de la lumière et de science solaire pour avoir propulsé la bande-annonce de Project Hail Mary au-delà de 400 millions de vues - une réalisation historique pour la première semaine de toute bande-annonce de film original." Son message était accompagné de la nouvelle image du personnage de Gosling ainsi que des statistiques impressionnantes.

Le réalisateur a ajouté : "Nous sommes ravis de remercier personnellement certains fans au Hall H du Comic-Con de San Diego aux côtés de Ryan, Andy, Drew... avec des surprises spéciales prévues." Lord sera présent aux côtés de Gosling, du coréalisateur Chris Miller, de l'auteur Andy Weir et du scénariste Drew Goddard, promettant des révélations exclusives lors de l'événement.

Ceci marque la seconde adaptation d'une œuvre de Weir après le succès phénoménal de Seul sur Mars de 20th Century Fox avec Matt Damon, qui a rapporté 630 millions de dollars dans le monde. La décision d'Amazon MGM Studios d'adapter un autre roman de Weir semble prémonitoire au vu de cet accueil précoce.

Avec Sandra Hüller, Lionel Boyce, Ken Leung et Milana Vayntrub au casting, Project Hail Mary est programmé pour sortir le 20 mars 2026.
