Capcom ajoute des DRM aux jeux "Resident Evil" sur iOS

Les mises à jour des jeux mobiles premium améliorent généralement l'optimisation ou la compatibilité. Cependant, la récente mise à jour de Capcom (publiée il y a une heure) pour Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Resident Evil 4 Remake et Resident Evil Village sur iOS et iPadOS introduit une système DRM en ligne. Ce DRM vérifie votre historique d'achats au lancement du jeu, vérifiant la propriété du jeu et de tout DLC avant d'accéder à l'écran titre. Le rejet du chèque ferme immédiatement la partie. Cela signifie qu'une connexion en ligne est désormais obligatoire pour lancer les jeux, ajoutant quelques secondes de temps de chargement avant de reprendre votre partie sauvegardée. Auparavant, les trois titres étaient entièrement jouables hors ligne.

Les tests préalables à la mise à jour ont confirmé la fonctionnalité hors ligne. Après la mise à jour, l'invite DRM apparaît et le refus de la vérification met fin au jeu. Même si cela ne dérange pas certains, l’ajout de ce DRM toujours en ligne aux jeux déjà achetés est très problématique. Idéalement, Capcom devrait mettre en œuvre une méthode de vérification des achats moins intrusive, peut-être en vérifiant moins fréquemment. Ce changement malvenu a un impact négatif sur la recommandation des ports mobiles premium de Capcom.
