Xbox apologizes, Enotria developers adjust (release date TBA)

Microsoft's apology to Jyamma Games, developer of Enotria: The Last Song, has shifted the narrative surrounding the game's delayed Xbox release. Following reports of Microsoft neglecting the game's submission for over two months, prompting an indefinite postponement announcement, Microsoft has reportedly issued a formal apology.

The Xbox Release Remains Uncertain Despite Microsoft's Apology

Jyamma Games expressed gratitude to Phil Spencer and the Xbox team for their swift response and assistance in resolving the situation. The developer also acknowledged the passionate support from the player community. While collaboration is now underway to expedite the Xbox release, a concrete launch date remains unconfirmed.

Jyamma Games' initial frustration, voiced by CEO Jacky Greco on Discord, highlighted the significant financial investment in the Xbox port and the perceived lack of attention from Microsoft. However, Greco's subsequent Discord update confirmed Microsoft's apology and commitment to resolving the issues.

This incident isn't isolated; Funcom recently reported optimization challenges porting Dune: Awakening to the Xbox Series S. While the PS5 and PC versions of Enotria: The Last Song remain on track for a September 19th release, the Xbox launch date remains uncertain. Further updates are anticipated as the collaboration between Jyamma Games and Microsoft progresses.
