Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 DRM or Denuvo Requirements?

Saber Interactive's recent FAQ clarified this and other key points ahead of the September 9th release. The decision to forgo DRM is significant, given the often-controversial nature of such software and its potential impact on performance and player experience. While DRM aims to combat piracy, it's sometimes criticized for causing glitches or compatibility issues.

While DRM is absent, the PC version will utilize Easy Anti-Cheat software. This anti-cheat system, while generally effective, has faced scrutiny in the past, notably concerning a hacking incident during the ALGS 2024 tournament.

Furthermore, Saber Interactive has stated that there are currently no plans for official mod support. This may disappoint some players, however, the game will boast compelling features like a PvP arena, horde mode, and a comprehensive photo mode. Importantly, the developers have reassured players that all core gameplay content will be accessible to everyone, with microtransactions and DLC strictly limited to cosmetic items.
