WoW's Extended Turbulent Timeways Event: Seven Weeks of Timewalking!

World of Warcraft's Turbulent Timeways event is back, and bigger than ever! Running for seven weeks, until February 24th, this event features a non-stop series of Timewalking campaigns. Players can earn exciting new rewards, amass Timewarped Badges, and enjoy a significant experience boost.

This extended event builds upon the five-week Turbulent Timeways event from September 2023. It retains the popular stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, providing a 20% experience increase after completing four Timewalking dungeons. Completing this for five out of the seven weeks unlocks the Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement, rewarding players with the coveted Timely Buzzbee mount.

The Timewalking Adventure Continues:

The event cycles through various Timewalking expansions, starting with Mists of Pandaria (January 7-13) and concluding with Cataclysm (February 18-24). Each week offers standard Timewalking quests, dungeons, and raids, plus the Mastery of Timeways buff.

New Rewards and Returning Favorites:

Timewalking vendors for each expansion offer permanent additions to their inventory. The Classic vendor, for example, features Season of Discovery transmogs. Additionally, the Sandy Shalewing pet, previously available, returns for those who missed it. Completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest rewards a Cache of Nerubian Treasures, granting Heroic gear throughout the Turbulent Timeways event.

Looking Ahead:

The event's February 24th conclusion offers a significant clue. Considering Blizzard's typical eight-week content release cycle and the holiday season, February 25th is a strong contender for the launch of World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, Undermined. This follows the recent 20th-anniversary event (11 weeks of Timewalking) and aligns with the anticipated release schedule. With the Turbulent Timeways, the second run of Plunderstorm (January 14-February 17), and The War Within's upcoming update, World of Warcraft is setting the stage for an action-packed start to 2025.
