Unveiled: Hidden Power of Elden Ring

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC's Blessing of Marika: A Mimic Tear Game Changer

Many Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC players overlook a game-changing tactic: equipping the Blessing of Marika for their Mimic Tear. Since the DLC's release, debate rages over this item's usefulness, with many accidentally consuming it, believing it to be a single-use item.

The Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has received mixed Steam reviews, despite widespread acclaim for certain aspects. Criticisms include underwhelming loot, uninspired open-world sections, and challenging difficulty. This Blessing offers significant aid to struggling players.

As highlighted by Twitch streamer ZiggyPrincess, the Blessing of Marika offers far greater utility than initially perceived. Crucially, it's usable by the Mimic Tear, enabling self-healing during boss fights. Previously, the Mimic Tear relied on Raw Meat Dumplings for 50% HP restoration. The Blessing, however, provides full HP recovery.

Using the Blessing of Marika with the Mimic Tear

To utilize this, equip the Blessing of Marika in your Quick Items slot (where Flasks, Spectral Seeds, and Spirit Summons reside). Upon summoning the Mimic Tear, it will automatically use the Blessing as needed. Importantly, the Mimic Tear has unlimited access to the Blessing.

The Blessing's early appearance in the Gravesite Plains of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has caused confusion. Its flask-like appearance leads many to consume it unknowingly. Fortunately, multiple Blessings are obtainable; after accidentally using the first, players can acquire more by defeating a Tree Sentinel or at the Fort of Reprimand.
