Ubisoft Unveils Customization and Progression in Assassin

Ubisoft has unveiled an exciting new article that dives deep into the gameplay mechanics of *Assassin's Creed: Shadows*, with a keen focus on the equipment and progression systems for the dual protagonists, Yasuke and Naoe. A highlight for fans is the enhanced functionality of the iconic Hidden Blade, promising a thrilling experience.

Each character comes with a distinct skill tree that complements their unique combat styles. Yasuke, the samurai, will have access to specialized techniques, while Naoe, the shinobi, will hone her stealth and agility skills. Players can strategically allocate skill points to unlock weapon-specific abilities or refine their fighting styles, gaining mastery points by engaging in open-world activities or taking down formidable opponents like the Daisyo samurai.

To maintain a balanced progression, both characters will advance at an even pace, ensuring neither falls behind. Unlocking potent abilities involves specific in-game actions, such as tracking elusive shinobi groups. Moreover, the "Knowledge" scale plays a crucial role in progression, advancing through activities like studying manuscripts or praying at shrines. Reaching the sixth Knowledge rank unlocks an entirely new skill tree, adding depth to the gameplay.

Ubisoft also detailed the equipment system, where items are categorized into five quality tiers: common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary. Players can upgrade their gear at a blacksmith and customize its appearance. Special perks on armor and weapons can significantly influence gameplay, offering new strategic possibilities.

The beloved Hidden Blade returns with a vengeance, allowing for instant takedowns of enemies with a single, precise strike. *Assassin's Creed: Shadows* is set to launch globally on March 20, available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5, bringing fans a fresh yet familiar experience.
