Ubisoft has confirmed the cancellation of the early access period for Assassin's Creed Shadows, originally planned for those who purchased the Collector's Edition. This decision, announced via a Discord Q&A, follows the previously announced delay of the game's official launch to February 14, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

In addition to the early access cancellation, the price of the Assassin's Creed Shadows Collector's Edition has been reduced from $280 to $230. The Collector's Edition will still include the artbook, steelbook, figurine, and other previously announced items. Unconfirmed reports suggest Ubisoft Quebec is exploring the addition of a co-op mode featuring both antagonists, Naoe and Yasuke, but this remains unverified.

Insider Gaming reports that the cancellation of early access is attributed to challenges in maintaining historical accuracy and cultural representation, factors also contributing to the game's delay.

Ubisoft Montpellier's team responsible for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has been dissolved. Despite positive critical reception, the decision, reported by Origami, stems from the game failing to meet sales expectations. While specific sales figures haven't been released, Ubisoft has acknowledged disappointment with the game's performance.

Abdelhak Elguess, senior producer for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, stated that the team is "extremely proud" of their work and committed to the game's long-term success. He confirmed the completion of the post-launch roadmap, including DLC and free content updates, and announced plans to bring the game to Mac "by this winter." He also noted that team members have transitioned to other projects within Ubisoft. Ubisoft expressed continued interest in future Prince of Persia projects.
