Torchlight: Infinite Season 8: Sandlord Launches This Month

Torchlight: Infinite has unveiled exciting details about its upcoming Season 8: Sandlord, set to launch on April 17th. This season promises a major overhaul, introducing the captivating Cloud Oasis with innovative economic gameplay mechanics, and a complete transformation of the Deep Space endgame content.

In Season 8, players will step into a new realm of gameplay with the introduction of the Sandlord mechanic. The Cloud Oasis will be a central feature where players can engage in trading resources, managing workers, and overseeing production lines to construct their own aerial empire. This addition brings a fresh economic layer to the ARPG, allowing players to build and strategize beyond traditional monster-slaying.

Thea, a returning character, will feature a new trait called Blasphemer. This trait swaps her divine abilities for the curse of Desecration, which starts off weak but significantly scales up, enhancing Erosion damage as her blessing power diminishes. Players can further develop this trait into area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, making it ideal for those who enjoy damage-over-time and complex synergies.

Endgame content receives a significant upgrade with the complete overhaul of Deep Space. It now features five new stages, broader maps, and more challenging enemies. The new Probes system lets players adjust the risk and rewards, with each probe increasing the difficulty but offering the potential for better loot, including Compass chests.

The update also introduces the Blending System for belt crafting, enabling players to combine Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot, thus deepening build customization. A new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, joins the roster, accessible on the Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.

Coinciding with the season launch, the Sands of Fortune anniversary event will run from April 17th to May 1st. Players can complete tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and compete for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
