Teardown Expands with Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has announced exciting news for fans of Teardown: a highly anticipated multiplayer mode is on its way, launching alongside the new Folkrace DLC! This expansion will significantly boost the single-player experience with fresh maps, vehicles, and thrilling racing challenges. Players can compete in diverse events, unlock rewards, and customize their rides to become the ultimate track champion.

The multiplayer update will first arrive on Steam's Experimental Branch, providing players with early access and the opportunity to test the new mode. The developers are actively seeking feedback, particularly from the modding community. Upcoming API updates will allow modders to seamlessly integrate their creations into the multiplayer experience.

This multiplayer addition fulfills a long-held goal for the development team and answers a fervent request from the Teardown community.

Initially, multiplayer will be available through the Steam Experimental branch, allowing for thorough testing and community input. Simultaneously, the team will release API updates for modders, ensuring compatibility with existing modifications. Following this testing phase, multiplayer will become a permanent core feature.

Beyond the Folkrace DLC and multiplayer, Tuxedo Labs has confirmed that two more major DLCs are in development, with further details promised later in 2025.
