Strategic Use of Tarot Cards

Due to their inherent risk, using Tarot Cards in a safe area, such as near a hiding spot or the entrance, is highly recommended. This precaution allows for a quicker escape if an unfavorable card, like Death, is drawn.

Each card triggers an immediate effect upon use. However, there's a chance of drawing "The Fool," a neutral card producing no effect. You can draw up to ten cards without sanity penalties, and duplicates will have the same effect as the original.

Cursed Possessions (or Cursed Objects) are randomly spawning items offering gameplay advantages but at significant risk. Unlike standard equipment, they manipulate ghost behavior, but with potentially severe consequences for your character. The choice of whether or not to use them is entirely strategic. Only one spawns per contract (unless adjusted in custom settings), always in a predetermined location. Seven Cursed Objects exist in the game.
