Starfield Enhanced with Lightsaber Mod

Bethesda's Starfield now boasts lightsabers thanks to a new Creation mod. The recently released Starfield Creation Kit has unleashed a wave of player-created content, including cosmetic enhancements, new features, and unique additions.

Naturally, Starfield's expansive sci-fi setting has inspired fans to incorporate Star Wars elements. The influx of Star Wars mods has increased significantly with the launch of the Creation Club, ranging from simple cosmetic additions like Mandalorian armor to more substantial modifications like AT-ST enemies and iconic blasters. A mod even recreates aspects of the canceled Star Wars 1313, featuring Boba Fett.

The free "Immersive Sabers" mod by SomberKing adds three lightsaber melee weapons: the Combatech Polaris, Old Earth Photonsaber, and the Arboron Novabeam Saber. These lightsabers include authentic sound effects, customizable beam colors via workbench upgrades, and a new perk enhancing deflection. Players can even loot lightsabers from enemies. While Jedi typically craft their own lightsabers in Star Wars, the mod cleverly integrates them into Starfield's existing weapon manufacturers. SomberKing plans to add three more lightsabers from different manufacturers in future updates.

The release of Creation mod support and recent updates, including city maps and ship customization options, have significantly improved player sentiment towards Starfield. However, Bethesda's paid mod system remains controversial, particularly the paywall for completing the Trackers Alliance questline. Despite this, upcoming content like the "Shattered Space" expansion and a deeper exploration of the House Va'ruun faction promise exciting additions for Starfield players in the near future.
