Author:Kristen Update:May 16,2025

Fans eager to experience the initial episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will need to dive into Fortnite to catch the series premiere before its Disney+ debut. Epic Games has announced an exciting expansion of its Star Wars content, revealing that the first two episodes of this highly anticipated animated spinoff will be exclusively available within Fortnite. This move is part of the studio's strategy to enhance its Star Wars offerings during the upcoming Galactic Battle season, which promises a plethora of themed rewards and experiences.

Starting at 10 a.m. ET on May 2, fans can watch the first two episodes featuring Asajj Ventress on the Star Wars Watch Party island—two days before the series hits Disney+. Epic Games encourages fans to connect their Epic Games and MyDisney accounts, offering a First Order Stormtrooper outfit as an incentive. While the full benefits of linking these accounts remain undisclosed, Epic hints at further advantages on the horizon.

"Disney and Epic are pioneering the future of social entertainment together, and this expansive Star Wars collaboration offers a glimpse into the type of interactive experiences we envision," stated Epic Games President Adam Sussman. "We are reimagining what’s possible with immersive storytelling in Fortnite with one of the world’s most beloved franchises - stay tuned for a lot more to come."

The Star Wars Watch Party island will be accessible until May 11, allowing viewers ample time to enjoy both episodes. Additionally, the island will feature a Battle Arena where players can engage in combat using lightsabers against waves of enemies. Those who watch both episodes will be rewarded with an exclusive Asajj Ventress loading screen.

Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld is a six-episode series, animated in the style of The Clone Wars, that follows the adventures of Asajj Ventress and Cad Bane. The official synopsis suggests that Ventress will encounter a new chance at life and a new ally, while Bane must confront his past.

Disney's partnership with Fortnite extends well beyond the Galactic Battle season. In March 2024, the House of Mouse acquired a $1.5 billion stake in Epic, cementing a long-term collaboration that will bring more Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar outfits to the popular battle royale game. Highlights from the next season include unique characters such as Darth Jar Jar and Emperor Palpatine.

Since its launch in 2017, Fortnite has remained a dominant force in the gaming world. Recent collaborations, like the one with Sabrina Carpenter, have kept the game fresh and engaging, encouraging players to explore new in-game experiences beyond traditional gameplay.
