Stalker 2: For Science! Side Quest Walkthrough

In Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, players can embark on a side quest titled "For Science!" This quest unfolds through interactions with various NPCs in The Zone. The quest begins by meeting Yaryk Mongoose at the Central Elevator in the Chemical Plant.

Initiating "For Science!":

Mongoose will contact Skif via radio, prompting a meeting at the Central Elevator. Upon arrival, navigate past conveyor belts and ascend the rusted stairs. Mongoose is located on the first floor; vault the railing to reach him. He'll explain the need to activate a second measuring device atop a silo, initiating the quest.

Reaching the Silo's Peak:

Exit the room and climb to the building's roof. Eliminate any rodents encountered. Access a room with broken windows, climb out, and descend a ladder to a walkway. Jump to the silo walkways, equipping a bolt-action weapon to counter electro anomalies. Proceed left to activate the device.

The Bloodsucker Encounter:

Activating the device attracts Bloodsuckers. Players can choose to fight or evade them to return to Mongoose.

Confronting Mongoose:

Upon returning, Mongoose will explain the experiment's unforeseen consequences. Players can choose to kill Mongoose or accept his reward (a Malachite pass and coupons). The choice has no significant impact on the game's progression. The Malachite pass grants access to the STC Malachite facility.
