Sony PlayStation has introduced its first wireless fight stick for PS5 and PC, launching in 2026.

Edwin Foo, Vice President of Product Development at Sony Interactive Entertainment, stated that the fight stick, internally dubbed Project Defiant, offers players "enhanced versatility for their favorite fighting titles."

Sony ensures minimal latency with a wireless connection for PS5 and PC, alongside a wired option. This precision is critical for fighting game enthusiasts who demand instantaneous and accurate combo inputs.

The stick features an ergonomic design, a custom "premium digital stick" crafted by Sony, and tool-free interchangeable restrictor gates, allowing players to switch between square, circle, or octagon configurations, all storable in a built-in controller compartment. It also includes a sling carry case.

The timing aligns with Sony's upcoming Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, a 4v4 Marvel fighting game developed by Arc System Works, known for Guilty Gear, also slated for 2026. The stick and game may launch in tandem.

Sony opened the summer showcase season with flair, unveiling a range of new titles at PlayStation State of Play 2025, including 007 First Light, Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, Romeo is a Dead Man, and the release date for Silent Hill f.
