Renowned Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in games like The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Fallout 3, and Starfield, was discovered critically ill in his hotel room last week, prompting a family appeal for support.

As reported by PC Gamer, Johnson's wife, Kim, and family launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover mounting medical expenses and living costs during his incapacitation. The campaign states that Johnson is currently fighting for his life in an intensive care unit.

Johnson was scheduled to host a benefit for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta on January 22nd. However, after arriving and checking into his hotel, he failed to appear at the event. His wife's attempts to contact him were unsuccessful, leading hotel security to discover him unconscious and near death. Emergency responders reportedly struggled to locate a pulse.

The GoFundMe campaign initially set a goal of $50,000 but has already surpassed that target by nearly threefold, raising over $144,791 from over 2,200 donors. Beyond his extensive video game voice acting career, Johnson is also the longtime public address announcer for the Washington Capitals hockey team and has acted in numerous films and television shows.

His prolific video game work largely centers on Bethesda titles, most recently portraying Ron Hope in Starfield. His other notable Bethesda roles include Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, three Daedric Princes (Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal) in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others.
