How to Respec in Avowed

Re-rolling your Avowed character? This guide shows you how to respec abilities, attributes, and even your companion's stats.

Why Respec?

Choosing the right class and attribute distribution at the start can be tricky. If your initial build isn't working, respeccing lets you adjust your character to better suit your playstyle. Whether you're shifting from a pure mage to a spellsword or optimizing your build for late-game challenges, respeccing offers the flexibility to create your ideal Avowed experience.

Respeccing Abilities

To respec your abilities:

1. Open the in-game menu.
2. Navigate to the "Abilities" section.
3. At the bottom, you'll find the "Reset Points" option.
4. Pay the listed cost (starting at 100 Copper Skeyt, increasing with gameplay).
5. Confirm the reset. Note that "Godlike" abilities are excluded and obtained through in-game choices.

Respeccing Attributes

To respec your attributes:

1. Open the in-game menu.
2. Go to the "Character" section.
3. Locate the button beneath the attribute list.
4. Pay the cost (initially 100 Copper Skeyt, increasing over time).
5. Confirm to regain your attribute points.

Respeccing Companions

To respec a companion:

1. Open the in-game menu.
2. Navigate to the "Abilities" section, then the "Companions" tab.
3. Find the button under your companion's name.
4. Pay the indicated cost.
5. Confirm the reset. Remember to respec each companion individually.
