Remedy Entertainment aims to be a leading game developer, drawing inspiration from Naughty Dog, particularly the Uncharted series. Kyle Rowley, director of Alan Wake 2, stated their ambition to become "the European equivalent of this iconic firm" in a Behind The Voice podcast interview.

This influence is visible in the cinematic style of Quantum Break and, more notably, Alan Wake 2. The game's stunning visuals and gripping narrative are testament to this inspiration, solidifying Remedy's place as a top European studio.

Remedy's aspirations extend beyond the horror genre. Naughty Dog's mastery of cinematic single-player experiences, exemplified by Uncharted and The Last of Us (a critically acclaimed and award-winning franchise), serves as a clear benchmark.

Alan Wake 2, released over a year ago, continues to receive updates. A recent update focuses on enhancing gameplay across all platforms, with a key improvement being a new "Balanced" graphics option for PS5 Pro, combining aspects of the Performance and Quality modes.

This update also includes minor graphical adjustments for smoother framerates and clearer visuals, alongside bug fixes, particularly impacting the Lake House expansion.
