Pokemon GO Fest 2025 Host Cities Announced

Pokemon GO Fest 2025: Osaka, Jersey City, and Paris!

Pokemon GO Fest 2025 is coming to Osaka, Jersey City, and Paris! This year's event will span multiple locations, offering fans worldwide a chance to participate. Past events have seen varied ticket prices depending on location and year, with minor fluctuations.

While Pokemon GO's initial popularity has waned, the game maintains a dedicated global player base. Pokemon GO Fest, a major in-person event, remains a highlight, typically held across three cities with a subsequent global event. These Fests are known for featuring rare Pokemon spawns, including region-exclusive and previously unavailable Shiny forms. The events are generally considered worthwhile, with the global version providing many similar benefits for those unable to attend in person.

The 2025 Pokemon GO Fest will kick off in Osaka, Japan (May 29 - June 1), followed by Jersey City, New Jersey (June 6-8), and concluding in Paris, France (June 13-15). Further details, including pricing and specific event features, are yet to be announced by Niantic, who will provide updates as the dates approach.

2024's GO Fest: A Potential Indicator for 2025?

The pricing of past Pokemon GO Fest tickets offers some insight. Ticket costs have generally remained consistent. In 2023 and 2024, the Japanese event cost approximately ¥3500-¥3600, while the European event saw a price reduction from roughly $40 USD in 2023 to $33 in 2024. Pricing appears region-dependent, with the US event consistently priced at $30 in both years, and the global event at $14.99.

Despite launching new events and encounters, Pokemon GO has faced recent backlash. A price hike for Community Day tickets (from $1 to $2 USD) has sparked player discontent. This could foreshadow potential price increases for the Pokemon GO Fest. Given this negative reaction to a relatively small price increase, Niantic will likely proceed cautiously, particularly considering the dedication of in-person attendees who often travel significant distances for these special events.
