The Primitive Challenge is one of Phasmophobia's toughest weekly challenges, requiring you to identify the ghost and complete investigations without any electronic aids. This means relying heavily on intuition and understanding ghost behavior. The challenge takes place at 10 Ridgeview Court, a house-style map with a relatively easy layout to navigate and find safety in. To fully complete the challenge, you must successfully conduct three investigations.

Tips & Tricks To Complete Primitive Challenge in Phasmophobia

Navigating the Primitive Challenge comes with unique rules and a very limited loadout. Electronics, from Flashlights to DOTs Projectors and Video Cameras, are off-limits, severely restricting your equipment.

Sanity Medication is also removed, but you start with a full Sanity meter to help you withstand ghost activities initially. Your provided equipment includes two Tier 1 Crucifixes to prevent up to two ghost hunts, Tier 2 Firelights, and a set of Tier 1 Incense for additional protection.

For evidence gathering, you're equipped with just two Tier 3 Ghost Writing books and two Tier 1 "glowstick" UV lights, which double as flashlights and UV evidence tools, along with two Tier 1 thermometers for detecting freezing temperatures.

Identifying the ghost will rely on understanding its unique behavioral traits. Our no-evidence cheat sheet can be a helpful resource for distinguishing ghost types.

To locate the ghost quickly, especially crucial without access to the fuse box and in the dark, leverage the ghost's increased activity in this challenge. Alternatively, use the provided Ouija Board in the laundry room on the first floor, left of the dining area, to ask the ghost its "favorite room." Be cautious, as this will cost you 50% of your sanity, and always say "Goodbye" to the board to prevent a Cursed Hunt. This method is particularly useful in group settings for added safety.
