Baldur's Gate III's eighth and potentially final major patch is undergoing its official stress test. While some Sony console players received early access, those opting out are advised to reinstall the game for a clean experience.

Patch 8 introduces highly anticipated cross-platform play between PC and consoles. Players with linked Larian accounts can now team up regardless of platform. Even modded games can participate in crossplay, provided all mods are compatible across PC, Mac, and consoles, and the host's mod count remains below ten.

Xbox Series S users will rejoice at the inclusion of split-screen co-op, a feature previously unavailable on this console.

Further enhancements include a fully customizable photo mode and twelve new subclasses, adding significant depth and replayability. Bug fixes and balance adjustments are also included, although some issues may persist. A comprehensive changelog is available on the game's official website.
