Kingdom Come: Help Prochek or Olbram?

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 25,2025

In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, early side quests in Tachov and Zhelejov offer a choice between aiding Prochek or Olbram in the "Mice" and "Frogs" storylines. This guide clarifies whether you can help both and which choice is strategically better.

Can You Help Both?

While Tachov and Zhelejov are locked in bitter rivalry, it's possible to complete most quests for both Prochek and Olbram. This approach reveals more backstory, though a fully favorable outcome for both is impossible.

Prochek vs. Olbram: Which to Choose?

Ultimately, choosing between Prochek and Olbram is largely a matter of preference. Both aim to sabotage the other; the tasks simply differ in their comedic nature.

Olbram's quest involves stealing Zhelejov's maypole, requiring nighttime stealth and potentially charming a guard. Prochek's quest necessitates painting Olbram's bull blue, demanding dye from the tailor and a lullaby potion recipe from Radovan.

Prochek's task presents a slightly higher difficulty, especially early in the game. Insufficient groschen or Speech skill might hinder progress, making Olbram's quest potentially easier.

Prochek's "Mice" Quest:

Initiate this quest by speaking with Prochek in Tachov (or the innkeeper if you can't locate him).

  • Dye and Lullaby Potion: Purchase dye from Bartoshek the tailor in Troskowitz. Obtain the lullaby potion recipe from Radovan (either through apprenticeship or charm). The recipe requires oil, poppy, and thistle (harvested near Troskowitz's apothecary). Brew the potion, then in Zhelejov, administer it to the bull and paint it. Report back to Prochek.

Olbram's "Frogs" Quest:

Find Olbram near Zhelejov's meadow. Agree to steal Tachov's maypole.

  • Stealing the Maypole: Proceed to Tachov at night. Either charm or incapacitate the guard, Henrik. Charm Henrik by inquiring about Manka, arranging a date, and informing Manka. Once Henrik leaves, obtain the maypole. Return to Olbram, who will then task you with chasing sheep from Tachov's pasture and delivering a digestive potion to Alshik. You can choose to complete this or inform Prochek, ending both quests.
