This exciting announcement brings two iconic titles from Nintendo's futuristic racing franchise to modern consoles. F-Zero: GP Legend, originally released in 2003 (Japan) and 2004 (West), joins the lineup alongside F-Zero Climax, a Japan-only release from 2004 that's finally seeing a worldwide debut.

The F-Zero series, known for its groundbreaking speed and challenging tracks, has been a critical darling since its 1990 debut. Its influence on the racing genre is undeniable, inspiring titles like SEGA's Daytona USA. The series' signature blend of high-octane racing, track obstacles, and intense competition, featuring iconic racer Captain Falcon (also a Super Smash Bros. veteran), is sure to excite both longtime fans and newcomers.

After a near two-decade hiatus, partially attributed to the success of Mario Kart according to F-Zero designer Takaya Imamura, F-Zero Climax marks a significant return for the series, preceding only last year's F-Zero 99 for the Switch.

This October's update to the Switch Online + Expansion Pack will allow subscribers to dive into the intense Grand Prix, engaging story modes, and thrilling time trials of both games.

Prepare for the ultimate racing challenge!
