January 28 Is Going to Be a Big Day for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Fans

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 Arrives January 28th

Treyarch has officially announced the launch date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2: Tuesday, January 28th. Season 1, which began November 14th, will have run for a substantial 75 days—one of the longest seasons in Call of Duty history.

While specifics on Season 2's content remain under wraps, a full reveal is anticipated soon. The extended Season 1 followed the highly successful launch of Black Ops 6, which boasted record player numbers in its first month. However, recent weeks have seen a noticeable player decline, attributed to ongoing issues with cheating in Ranked Play and persistent server problems. The community hopes the new season will revitalize the game.

Season 2 Launch Confirmed

Treyarch confirmed the January 28th launch date in a recent update addressing Zombies mode issues. While some fixes were delayed until Season 2, the studio used the opportunity to announce the release date.

Season 1 delivered a wealth of new content: multiplayer maps and modes, weapons, events, and more. Warzone players also experienced a significant overhaul with the integration of Black Ops 6's movement system, new weapons, gameplay updates, and the Area-99 Resurgence map. The season also saw the welcome return of popular maps like Nuketown and Hacienda.

Looking Ahead to Season 2

While details are scarce, Treyarch has hinted at further classic map remasters for Black Ops 6. Associate Creative Director Miles Leslie previously stated that no Black Ops map is excluded from consideration, though original maps remain a priority.
