The Boys star Jack Quaid has expressed strong interest in appearing in a BioShock film adaptation, calling the acclaimed first-person shooter one of his all-time favorite video games.

During a Reddit AMA promoting his new film Novocaine, Quaid praised BioShock's deep narrative potential: "The game has such immersive worldbuilding that would translate beautifully to film or television," he said.

However, the project's development remains uncertain. Last July, producer Roy Lee revealed Netflix had reconfigured its BioShock adaptation following leadership changes, describing the new approach as "more character-driven" with a reduced budget.

Director Francis Lawrence remains attached to the project, though plot details remain under wraps. "We're focusing on a more intimate perspective compared to the original grand vision," Lee explained.

Interestingly, fans have noted Quaid's resemblance to Max Payne, whose character design was based on Remedy writer Sam Lake. Some action sequences in Novocaine even prompted speculation about an unofficial Max Payne adaptation - though Quaid admits unfamiliarity with the franchise.

"People say I look like Max Payne, and honestly seeing the game artwork surprised me too," Quaid confessed. "While I love Rockstar's catalog, I haven't played that one yet - though it's definitely on my list."

The actor also revealed himself as a dedicated FromSoftware enthusiast, detailing his progression through their notoriously difficult titles. "I've completed Bloodborne and Sekiro, and now I'm deep into Elden Ring," he shared. "Reddit's been my go-to for strategy tips - these games deliver such rewarding challenges once you break through their learning curves."

With Remedy currently remaking the original Max Payne titles, and Netflix's BioShock adaptation slowly developing, gaming fans may see Quaid appear in video game adaptations sooner than expected.
