Indus Reaches Milestone with 5 Million Downloads and Successful Manila Test

Author:Kristen Update:Dec 18,2024

Indus, the Indian-made battle royale shooter, has surpassed five million Android downloads and 100,000 iOS downloads within two months of its release. This follows a successful international playtest in Manila and a Google Play Award win for "Best Made in India Game 2024."

This significant achievement fuels SuperGaming's ambition to establish Indus as a leading Indian esports title, rivaling competitors like FAU-G: Domination. The Manila YGG Play Summit playtest provided valuable feedback from international esports players.

SuperGaming's Clutch India Movement further underscores this ambition. This esports initiative, featuring the Indus International Tournament (October 2024 - February 2025), boasts a ₹2.5 crore (approximately $31,000) prize pool.

Impressive Growth, Future Potential

While the five million downloads fall slightly short of the initial ten million pre-registrations (a common occurrence), the figures are still highly encouraging. The lower iOS download count suggests a need to further penetrate that market segment.

Despite this, SuperGaming's rapid progression—including international playtests and an esports tournament—demonstrates ambitious plans for Indus's growth.
