Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Overhaul Arrives December 3rd!

Get ready for a celestial shake-up! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds mode is launching Season 9 on December 3rd, bringing a galaxy of changes, updates, and new features. Prepare for a completely revamped minion lineup and a futuristic twist on the Tavern.

Key Changes:

Bob's Technotavern is getting a major upgrade! Season 9 resets ratings and bids farewell to Trinkets, replacing them with exciting new Battlegrounds Tokens. These tokens let you reroll a hero option at the selection screen – perfect for escaping undesirable choices.

Minion Reveal Schedule:

Before the full launch, Hearthstone is unveiling new minions in stages:

  • November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
  • November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
  • November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
  • November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
  • November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
  • December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes release.

More New Additions:

Season 9 introduces three brand-new heroes, with Farseer Nobundo already generating considerable buzz. Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are either joining or leaving the pool, creating dynamic new gameplay possibilities.

Solo Battlegrounds games will see a damage cap adjustment: 5 damage early game, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. This cap is lifted once you reach the top 4.

Minion Rollout:

The full update goes live December 3rd, initially featuring Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs. Murlocs and Demons arrive on December 5th, followed by Undead and Elementals on December 9th.
