Genshin Impact 5.4 Update: Rumored Banner Rerun Leaks

Genshin Impact's Version 5.4 may bring back Wriothesley, over a year after his debut. This leak, however, should be treated with caution.

The game's large roster of over 90 characters creates scheduling challenges for character reruns. Even with the Chronicled Banner introduced to address this, wait times remain long due to limited banner slots. Shenhe's extended wait time (over 600 days) exemplifies this issue. Until triple banners are implemented, lengthy rerun delays are likely.

While a recent leak suggests Wriothesley's return in Version 5.4, the source, Flying Flame, has a mixed track record. While their prediction of a new Chronicled Banner in Version 5.3 proved accurate, other leaks were inaccurate.

However, the recent Spiral Abyss buff benefits Wriothesley's gameplay, lending some credence to the rumor. Version 5.4 is also anticipated to introduce Mizuki, potentially Inazuma's first Standard Banner character. If both Mizuki and Wriothesley are featured, the remaining 5-star could be either Furina or Venti, as they are the only Archons yet to have sequential reruns. Version 5.4's expected launch date is February 12, 2025.
