Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Revealed

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K

Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Two weeks ahead of the PC launch, the updated requirements emphasize a high-end graphics card with 12-16GB VRAM as recommended for 4K gameplay.

The game will leverage DLSS upscaling, ShaderModel 6.6, and DirectX 12 Ultimate. This follows the PS5 Pro enhancement patch released in November, optimizing the game for Sony's upgraded console. Unlike Final Fantasy 7 Remake, however, Rebirth will not receive any DLC, with Square Enix focusing on Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3.

While initial PC specs were revealed at The Game Awards, Square Enix has clarified the graphics card recommendations. A minimum of 12-16GB VRAM is now explicitly recommended for 4K resolution, alongside a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB SSD storage, and 16GB RAM. A multi-core CPU like the Ryzen 5 5600 or equivalent is suggested. GPU requirements include an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600 (or later models), with higher-end cards strongly recommended for optimal performance at 4K.
