Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Unlocking the Lady Vengeance: A Step-by-Step Guide

After escaping Fort Joy and removing your Source collar, your journey continues aboard the Elven ship, Lady Vengeance. Getting this ship underway isn't a simple task; it requires solving a puzzle scattered across the vessel. This guide will walk you through the process.

Investigating the Ship's Deck

Your investigation begins by examining the bodies of the fallen magisters and gheists on deck. Loot them for clues and items. A crucial find is the Sodden Diary, containing a password needed later. You can also potentially obtain the password to a stateroom door via a skill check. Another essential item, a Strange Gem, is also located on the deck. Note that a magic mirror nearby allows for unlimited respeccing, useful for skill checks.

Accessing the Portside Stateroom

Using the password from the diary, you can now unlock the Portside Stateroom door. Before doing so, locate Bishop Alexander (west of the cabin) and examine his regalia to acquire the Strange Gem. Now, head to the Stateroom doors (east). The southern door will recognize the gem. Use the password ("Fortitude") revealed in the diary to open it. Inside Magister Dallis' cabin lies the next piece of the puzzle. Beware: a hidden hatch contains dangerous gheists and a Teleportation Prism.

Locating the Ancient Empire Songbook

Inside Magister Dallis' cabin, you'll find Tarquin. It's advisable to fully converse with Dallis before searching. The Ancient Empire Songbook rests on a pedestal—reading it reveals the song needed to move the ship. Remember to speak to all NPCs before proceeding, as interactions will be unavailable once the ship sets sail.

Setting Sail: The Final Steps

With the song learned, return to the deck and speak to Malady. She'll ask you to sing the song to the ship. Find the dragon figurine on the west side of the deck and choose the option to sing. Lady Vengeance will respond, and your journey can continue. Be prepared for a challenging battle with powerful magisters immediately after setting sail. Ensure your party is well-equipped and has sufficient companions.
