Disney Mirrorverse EOS Announced for 2022

Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the game's end-of-service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.

The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the title before the servers are permanently closed.

A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse

Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered a compelling action RPG experience with reimagined Disney and Pixar heroes. Despite initial excitement among fans, the game's lengthy beta period and infrequent content updates contributed to player attrition. The game's challenging shard collection system, requiring significant time or in-game purchases to fully develop characters, further hampered its longevity. However, the game's imaginative character designs and high-quality graphics were widely praised.

The Unexpected EOS Announcement

The announcement of Disney Mirrorverse's closure is particularly surprising, given the recent release of new story content and the addition of Cinderella as a playable character just a week prior. This abrupt shutdown mirrors Kabam's previous decisions to end support for titles like Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.
